Ilana Miller, a Chartered Mediator (Canada’s most senior official designation for practicing mediators), Accredited Family Mediator, Certified Mediator, Arbitrator and Certified Parenting Coordinator with over 25 years of experience specializing in parenting decision making and parenting time. Ilana facilitates agreements for separating and divorcing parents, in a cost-effective manner and with great sensitivity to their issues. She has been in full-time private practice since 2002, specializing in developing unique parenting plans. Ilana also lectures on domestic violence and power imbalances for lawyers and mental health professionals embarking on mediation and arbitration practice.
Ilana holds a 4 year Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto coupled with a graduate degree in child and family Psychology (University of Toronto). She also completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School, specializing in Dispute Resolution.
Ilana has extensive experience and knowledge in Family Law, Mediation, Arbitration, Parenting Coordination, S30 Forensic Evaluations and The Voice of the Child Reports, just to name a few. Ilana utilizes a tailored approach to each and every family given that each family has its own unique needs and desires. She does so using humour and being culturally sensitive toward the diverse needs of the Greater Toronto Area population.
